In the early 80's a few local people
from Pounta, Paros discovered the sport of windsurfing. The
sport grew very quickly here because of the ideal conditions
and smooth flat water. Very soon Pounta, Paros began to attract
more and more tourists and professional Race and freestyle riders.
Paroskite was the first center back in 1993
that started to provide lessons and rentals including rescue
services. Over the last 10 years, Pounta has become one of the
top worldwide windsurfing destinations for freestylers and the
number one training spot for professional riders.

The wind is predominantly blowing from
the north, side shore and very steady, with smooth water.
From May to September the trade winds called the 'Meltemi'
is blowing between 10 to 30 knots with a variation of
+/- 2 or 3 knots maximum.

Our center offers professional instruction for
all levels of windsurfing, from beginners up to pro-coaching.
We offer a wide variety of packages for rental
and frequently have some very special offers. Our windsurfing
